Kiburi Food Processors (KFP) develops, produces and markets dried fruits and vegetables, powders and juices, including:
  • mangoes
  • bananas
  • tomatoes
  • pineapples
  • onions
  • garlic
  • pears
  • pumpkins (leaves)
  • other green vegetables
Our vision is to become a leader in the production of dried fruit and vegetables, supplying high quality Kenyan products to the national, regional and global food market.
Our mission is to contribute to the growth of the Kenyan economy by creating jobs and opportunities in dried fruit and vegetable production, preservation and marketing; thereby adding value to agricultural produce.
Our goals are:
  • To become producers of high quality dried fruits and vegetables
  • To contribute to the improvement of the environment by encouraging farmers to grow more fruit trees and practice organic farming
  • To demonstrate the use of every part of fruits and vegetables by converting all waste into useful products such as manure, animal feed, brickets and seeds
  • To collaborate with leading industrial, commercial and agricultural development institutions such as the Kenya Industrial Research Development Institute (KIRDI), universities, Jua Kali artisans, marketing authorities, among others, in order to gain from the existing and future research findings and technological developments on food preservation methods
